ABOUT OUR FARM
Purchased and restored by the GBPA in 1999, the Historic Daniel Lady Farm served as Johnson's Headquarters and then a Confederate field hospital during the Battle of Gettysburg. The barn has initials carved by soldiers cared for there and the house still has authenticated blood stains in the floor.
We recently purchased 50 additional acres in the Benner Hill section of the battlefield and we need your HELP preserving it!

CAMPING
The Historic Daniel Lady Farm welcomes all Scouts, Reenactors and Youth Groups. Camp on hallowed ground and get a tour of the barn and the house museum. We provide wood, water and portable toilets. Only a mile from Gettysburg's town square and one exit away from the National Park Service's Visitor Center, the Historic Daniel Lady Farm makes an excellent base camp for experiencing history. GROUP TOURS
Step into history like never before at the Historic Daniel Lady Farm - Gettysburg's newest immersive group tour experience! Your visit comes alive through first person programs. Groups can experience the thrill of pulling the lanyard to fire an authentic Civil War cannon, then walk inside the very house and barn where wounded soldiers once lay. WALK UP FARMHOUSE & BARN TOURS
Immerse yourself in history! Take a tour of the Historic Daniel Lady Farm. Guided by our docent, tours of the farmhouse and barn include presentations on the Lady family, 19th Century farm life, and the farm’s role in the Battle of Gettysburg. 4th Annual Civil War Scout Immersion Weekend
Join us for our 4th Annual Civil War Scout Immersion Weekend! Learn how a cannon is loaded and fired, what surgery was like during the Civil War, the equipment of a Cavalryman and an Infantryman while living like a Union or Confederate soldier. Did you know there were Sniper Units during the Civil War? Get to know other scouts from all over the Country and then do battle on Sunday morning.
